How the Business Risk Assessment works
This Business Risk Assessment is an educational tool designed to help you identify and think about areas that could create financial or operational problems for your business.
It is intended to start a conversation about business risk and possible ways to manage those risks.
This is not a legal audit, legal opinion, insurance application, insurance quote, formal policy review, coverage determination, compliance certification, or guarantee that every business risk has been identified.
What we ask
For each risk we ask two plain things: how much it could affect your business, and what you already have in place to handle it. If a risk does not apply to you, we skip it instead of treating it as covered. About 5 to 10 minutes is typical.
If you are not sure about something, say so. An unknown answer is flagged for review until you can confirm it, and it shows up in your report under Items to Verify.
What you get back
Every area of your business gets one plain instruction about what to do next.
- Review now
- Worth looking at with an advisor soon.
- Strengthen soon
- Something is in place, and there is room to tighten it up.
- Maintain and verify
- Looks reasonable from your answers. Confirm it is still accurate.
- Information needed
- You were not sure, so this needs to be confirmed before anything else.
Your report also lists what to verify, coverage and planning topics to discuss, your next three actions, and questions to ask a licensed advisor.
The areas we review
- Property & Physical Assets
- General & Professional Liability
- Employees & People
- Auto & Transportation
- Cyber, Crime & Money
- Income & Business Operations
- Ownership & Business Continuity
- Insurance & Risk Management

What this is not
This Business Risk Assessment is an educational, self reported tool. It is not an insurance policy review, a coverage determination, a guarantee of protection, or a statement that every business risk has been identified. Actual insurance coverage depends on policy language, endorsements, exclusions, limits, conditions, and the facts of a loss. Legal, tax, employment, safety, and regulatory questions require qualified professional review. Completing this assessment does not bind, change, cancel, or confirm insurance coverage.
See our Privacy Policy for how your information is collected, used, and protected.
